A GUIDE TO THE 100 CLUB
What is the 100 Club?
- The 100 Club is a ballot, which pays out cash prizes to lucky winners each month and also helps to
generate funds for the Club. There are no guarantees that you will win but it is a bit of fun to
take part and if you do you can brandish your winnings in front of your teammates on a Saturday afternoon.
Are there 100 numbers? - No at time of writing the draw has 197 numbers.
There must be 100 members then? - You would
think so, but at time of writing there are actually 114 members.
So why is it called the 100 Club?
- Originally there were 100 stakes and 100 members. Now there are more than 100 members,
many of whom have more than 1 stake. This is good for the prizes and fundraising,
the more stakes invested the more money is shared out proportionally each month.
How does the 100 club work?
- Each stake is designated a number. 6 numbers are randomly selected each month by our 100 Club Computer
(this is an automated program, which has been thoroughly tested by experts. If you still need convincing
a full list of previous winners is available on request from the 100 Club Secretary and results will be
posted on this website in coming months.
What can I win?
- Prizes range from £10 to £45 each month; this can vary depending on the prize fund for that particular
draw. In the 2004/05 season the 100 Club paid out a total of £1730.00 to lucky winners.
What are funds used for?
- To assist in the purchase of new kit.
- Cash prize payments of £1730 per year;
- To help subsidise football section tours - one subsidy per member per season, 12
month qualification period for tour subsidy.
- Special prizes at Social Events and the Club Dinner, and backing for Golf Days,
Race Nights, 5 a-sides etc.
So if you are not a member, why not join, if you are already a member
then why not take out extra shares, the more shares you have, the better
your chance of winning!!
