General Notice - Training

Where have you been? Training is EVERY Wednesday down the Sports Club at 7pm and is designed for the whole club. Be there or be rotund.

26.04.08 Two very narrow defeats in the last week of the season see the 2s relegated, joining the 3s and 4s in unfortunately dropping down a division. The 1s finish their season with another league win whilst the 5s end with a draw.
19.04.08 The 1s win the LFFA cup to ensure that we will be celebrating a trophy in our centenary season with a convincing 4-1 win over HSBC on their own ground. The other results this week are a win for the 4s and a defeat for the 5s.
19.04.08 LFFA cup final is this weekend at HSBC's ground. Get down there to support the 1s.
12.04.08 1s win but it won't be enough for promotion this season. 3s also win and have an outside chance of surviving relegation. 2s slip to defeat but can still survive. 5s battle to a gritty 0-0 draw at Merton.
05.04.08 The 1s promotion chances are severely hit by home defeat and the 4s are all but relegated with defeat at Wilsonians. 3s also lose but can still survive. The good news this week is a vital home win for the 2s which also keeps their survival chances alive.
30.03.08 1s lose their match against the SAL representative XI. In the fight against relegation the 3s gain a valuable point but the 2s lose. 5s lose narrowly away from home.
15.03.08 1s make the LFFA cup final yet again with a 3-0 win over Weirside Rangers. The final is on the 19th April at HSBC. 2s and 3s pick up a point each in the battle against relegation. 5s lose at home.
05.03.08 As part of the soccer sections ongoing centenary celebrations the Bank 1st XI will be playing a SAL representative side on Sunday 30 March at 3.00pm. The match will be held at the Sports Club and any support will be welcome.

08.03.08 In the battle against relegation there are wins for the 3s and 4s. 1s can only draw at AP. 2s and 5s not playing.
01.03.08 Not a very good week at all for the Bank with losses 1s, 4s and 5s. 2s manage a draw. 3s not in action.
23.02.08 A good week for the Bank with the 2s and 3s winning at home and a cup win for the Vets. 1s grab a 2-2 draw away at table topping Old Parks. A correction to previous reports is that the 4s are the only losers.
09.02.08 The only victory for Bank sides this week came in the form of a rare win for the 3rd XI. The Vets draw, but all other sides lose.
02.02.08 The usual mixed bag of results this week with wins for the 1s, 4s and Vets, but defeats for the 2s and 5s. 3s not in action.
26.01.08 1s are very unlucky to lose on penalties to SAL heavyweights West Wickham. In the league 2s win, but 3s and 4s lose. 5s not in action.
20.01.08 Only two games for the Bank this week due to the weather. Both the 1s and 5s gain good victories with Cripps scoring 5 for the 1st XI.
13.01.08 Overall a good week for results including a 7-0 hammering by the 2nd XI. 5s and Vets also win. 3s slip to defeat again. 1s and 4s not in action.
05.01.08 The first games of the new year took place at the weekend with the Vets the only side to win. The 1s and 4s gain creditable draws whilst the 2s and 3s lose again. 5s not in action.
21.12.07 The website is now off on its Christmas break. Hopefully be back early in the New Year. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our visitors.
15.12.07 The last games of the year again see the 1s win with other sides struggling. 2s, 3s and 4s all lose mainly due to poor availability which saw the 5s game cancelled.
13.12.07 A club six-a-side tournament is being arranged for the 2nd January. For more details see here.

08.12.07 The weather played havoc this week as only the 4s are in action, losing away at OWC.

01.12.07 Another mixed bag of results this week. The 3s win again with thre 1s and 2s taking a point each. The Vets lose narrowly but the 4s and 5s suffer heavy defeats.
24.11.07 The 1s fine league form continues with a hard fought win over fellow title challengers Ibis. The goal-fest in 5s matches continues as they gain a point in an eight goal thriller. 2s and 3s slip to very narrow defeats. 4s not in action.

17.11.07 Generally good results this week with wins for the 1s and Vets and a first victory of the season for the 3s! 4s gain a useful draw against the league leaders, whilst only the 5s lose. 2s not in action.
13.11.07 All players should be aware that a full programme of games is being planned for Sat 22nd December so please try to make yourself available for this week.

10.11.07 Excellent results all round this week as 1s, 4s and 5s all win league matches with a cup victory for the 2s. Only the 3s experience defeat.

27.10.07 The first XI continue their good form with a win over the early league leaders. However the 2s, 3s and 4s all slip to defeats.
20.10.07 A complete turnaround in results this week with all the five senior sides losing. Vets provide the only bright point with a Sunday morning victory.

13.10.07 The Bank sports club is due to hold another prestigious match with the AFA taking on The Army on Wednesday 24th October at 3pm.
06.10.07 Overall a poor week for the Bank as only the 4s and Vets win. 1s and 2s narrowly lose whilst 3s and 5s lose convincingly.
29.09.07 All sides in action this weekend. 1s win whilst 4s and 5s lose in the league. 2s win in the Cup but 3s knocked out on penalties. Vets win their opening game of the season. A special mention to Sean Palmer who tops the early goal scorer charts with two hat tricks in two games.
22.09.07 First league matches of the season sees the 1s start well with a solid 3-1 win. 2s and 3s slip to heavy defeats, whilst 4s and 5s both lose 4-3 thrillers.
18.09.07 2s emphatically win first competitive match of the season 7-1 in AFA cup. League matches start on Saturday 22nd September for all sides.

21.05.07 The Bank has won two SAL awards this season - The Wilkinson Sword for the best disciplinary record and the Ian Hamilton trophy for hospitality.
02.05.07 Annual Dinner took place at the Sports Club on Saturday preceded by the 1s 3-0 victory in a friendly against the 2nd Battalion - Royal Anglican Regiment. To see who won the awards click here.
21.04.07 1s ensure silverware at the Centenary dinner with a fantastic 3-0 cup final victory! Vets unfortunately miss out with a cup final defeat. 2s and 4s win whilst 5s draw.
17.04.07 Midweek action sees 1s clinging onto their division 2 status by their fingernails after a draw with Merton. Incredible game at Roehampton gives the 3s a good chance to stay up after an 8-4 win. 5s lose against a strong Poly team.
14.04.07 A quiet week with the 1s remaining in trouble following a narrow home defeat. Only other game sees the 5s lose.
11.04.07 Some midweek action sees the 4s and 5s win whilst the 1s draw.
31.03.07 A fairly quiet week after thwe action packed events of the previous Saturday. 3s take 4 points from double header. 1s lose whilst 4s draw. 2s and 5s not in action.

24.03.07 A fantastic week for results! Incredibly both the 3s and 5s take 6 points from double headers. The 2s also win and 4s gain a useful point. 1s not in action.
17.03.07 Great news for the 1s as they yet again reach the LFFA cup final. The final will be held at HSBC on Saturday 21st April against Dresdner Kleinwort
17.03.07 Exciting matches for all this week with all six matches very close. The 1s, 2s and 4s all win by the odd goal whilst the 3s, 5s and Vets experience narrow defeats.
10.03.07 Not a great week for results again. The 1s did pick up 3 points from their double header and the Vets win. However all the other sides suffer defeats.
03.03.07 BOEAFC.CO.UK IS BACK!

Apologies for the lack of recent updates this was due to a lack of internet connection. Results have been good over recent weeks with the 5th XI deserving a special mention with two recent wins and remain in two months.

The first XI have also embarked on a cup run in the LFFA. However the 1s, 2s, 3s and 4s all remain in trouble in their leagues.
There has also been a change in the goalscoring charts with Chris Heron taking the lead.

27.01.07 Another vast improvement overall for results this week as 2s and 4s both win whilst 5s gain a useful away point. 1s are only losers in the cup quarter finals.
20.01.07 The stormy weather strikes South London badly as all the club's games are called off.
13.01.07 A much better week as 5s gain first league win of season away at Lloyds and 2s also win. 1s draw away ot HSBC, however 3s are only losers of the day.

16.12.06 The Vets provide some good news this week with a fine cup win. However the 1s, 2s, 3s and 4s all lose and the 5s game is yet again called off due to overall lack of players. Most of the 5th XI play for the 4s.
09.12.06 Only 3 games this week for Bank sides. The 1s grind out a goalless draw, 2s lose 4-0 and a late winner leads to a narrow defeat for the 3s.
02.12.06 More league defeats for the 1s and 2s. But the 3s roar to a great away win in the cup.
25.11.06 Back to losing ways for the Bank sides with 1s, 4s and 5s all slipping to league defeats. However the 2s provide a ray of hope with a rare win.

25.11.06 The big night at Wimbledon Dogs is on Saturday 25th November. Should be a great night starting with drinks at the Club and then taxis onto Wimbledon Stadium around 6 - 7pm. Those who cant make it to the club can meet at the track. Then for those strong enough to continue, on to Wimbledon town for more fun, beer and banter!

More upcoming social events for your diary: Club Christmas Drinks in the City on Weds 20th December. Early notification that annual dinner this year will be on a Saturday due to club centenary. More details to follow but the date will Saturday 28th April 2007.
11.11.06 3s win in cup but 5s are knocked out without kicking a ball. In the words of 5s skipper a walkover was given to Stationers so the 5s bow out unbeaten in the Cup and doubtless leaving the eventual winners feeling their win is slightly devalued by our absence!

14.10.06 A much better week overall for the Bank as all sides are involved in very close games. The 1s, 2s and Vets win by the odd goal whilst the 5s gain first point of the season with an away draw. 3s and 4s lose narrowly by one goal.
07.10.06 Vets post their first win of the season with a 6-4 thriller. 1s and 4s gain useful league draws whilst 3s and 5s lose narrowly. 2s can already concentrate on the league after being knocked out of another cup.
30.09.06 The pattern of results this week followed that of last season, the 4s win well whilst everybody else struggles. Vets first game of the season is a draw.

01.07.06 4th XI promoted! Due to a team in a higher division dropping out the 4s have taken their place as a reward for their very narrow miss on automatic promotion last season.
23.05.06 It is Governor's Day at the Sports Club on Sunday 16th July. There will be the usual five-a-side football tournament. We will be looking for teams to enter and volunteers to help organise. More details to follow nearer the time.

11.04.06 1s finish their season with two consecutive 1-1 draws.
04.04.06 3s finish their season with a midweek draw at Old Lats.
02.04.06 1s win away thanks to two goals a piece from Churm and Heron. 2s are now safe from relegation despite not playing. Vets lose 5-2.
26.03.06 1s win away thanks to a Churm hat trick. 4s give themselves a chance of promotion by ending season with a win. 3s lose but are safe in their division. Vets draw 2-2.
19.03.06 Another mixed week for the Bank. The Reserve XI give themselves a chance of surviving relegation with away win. First team hammered at home. 3s and Vets win but 4s and 5s lose.
