Fact File – Steve Crew

Chelsea mad ‘Screwy’ is our very own pocket dynamo who hails from south London.  He conveniently can’t remember exactly when he started playing for the Bank, but he reckons it is at least 15 years ago.  And the rest!  His youthful demeanour and sprightly presence on the field belie the fact that he is 40 next year, betrayed only by his balding plate.  He has graced all the lower reaches of BOEAFC, in his words “staying one side ahead of the lowest side the Club puts out”.  However, Steve did play for the 2nd XI once, literally, before returning to captain the 6’s for a season.  Predictably, these days you can find Steve honing his skills for the 3’s or 4’s, since we only have 5 sides now.
