Bank Of England V Old Finchleians L1-2  Tilley
We did not know what to expect so our tactics in the first half were poor. However this did not stop the OF making two cracking saves from Allright and Cripps to prevent  the bank from taking the lead. OF broke from a bank attack and were soon 1-0 up. They doubled the lead soon after. The 2nd half was much better with the bank using the ball better and pulled one back from Tilley. Alas this was not enough and OF went on to win the game.

Bank of England V Old Finchleians II W3-1 Woodward, Tilley, Cripps
After the defeat in the first game it was important we won this otherwise any hope of progressing in the competition would go out of window. We learnt from the mistakes in the first game and comfortably won the game and should have got more goals. A lapse of concentration at the back allowed OF to get a consolation goal, which they did not deserve. Campo was not pleased!

Bank of England V Economicals W 5-0 Cripps 2, Tilley, Taylor R, Allright
The weakest link in the group was despatched with the utmost of ease as we began to play the football we knew we could. Solid defending at the back allowed Messrs Cripps, Woodward and Allright plenty of space to enjoy themselves. Tilley scored again to become top goalscorer much to the disgust/surprise of Mr Woodward!

Bank of England V Civil Service D 3-3 Allright 2 (2 pens) Woodward
With CS beating OF Ist team earlier on it meant that if we avoided defeat and we would go into the knockout stages. Against the best team in the group and competition we went 1-0 up courtesy of Woody. Back game CS and we found ourselves 1-2. Allright won a penalty and Allright made no mistake with the spot kick 2-2. Both sides continued to attack and we found ourselves 2-3 down. Soon after Crippo won another penalty and Andy Allright kept his cool to slam the spot kick home 3-3 it finished and we had to wait to find out if we went through to main knockout competition or the Plate competition.

Unfortunately we missed out on the main comp by 1 goal so we had to play in the plate competition. This followed a discussion by the team about whether to compete in the Plate competition, Andy Alright had some washing to do that afternoon...or something just as important.

Bank of England V Old Parks W 5-3 Woodward 3, Taylor R, Cripps
After getting over the disappointment of not reaching the main competition we started the game very poorly and were torn apart by a young OP side who went 3-0 up before you could say campo's ball!
A few tactical changes at half time saw the boys up the ante and a superb hattrick from Woody and further goals from Ritchie and El Crippo took the bank to the final.

Bank of England V Old Aloysians L 1-2 aet - Golden Goal, Taylor M
We were quietly confident of winning the final and started well. Both sides attacked but it was OA who took the lead from a breakaway down the bank left.
Matt Taylor equalised shortly after the half time break and despite a number of half chances for both sides the game went into extra time and golden goal! After some initial pressure form the bank OA broke up a bank attack and went up the other end and scored the all-important golden goal.

A good day all round with everyone in the team competing well.
