Adam Mills, GK. “El Ginger”, this big young man has a great presence between the sticks, usually for the 3rd XI. Take him on in a one on one at your peril.
Andrew Taylor, RB. 1st XI and Club captain over the past season. Oversaw the side to the verge of promotion for the first time in donkeys years.
Chris Tilley, CB. Aka “The Wookie”. You’ll hear him howling from the back right across the field, usually for the 1st XI. Can also play up front but requires re-programming for this.
Ian Short, RB, CB. The friendliest player at the BoE, “Shorty” will talk to anyone. But don’t get him started – you’ll never get away. A seasoned campaigner and it shows.
Gerry Redding, RM. History making 2nd XI Skipper, “George” presided over successful season in Division 2 following previous Championship and Cup double in 99/00.
Matthew Taylor, RM, CM. Currently training to be Physio Mike Brown Jnr. Watch out for him snooping and sniffing around as he patrols the midfield. Another 1st team regular.
James Taylor, LB, LM. Two-footed utility player, “Jim” has had a season blighted by injury, mainly in the reserves. Lay Committee Member and Editor of this programme.
Chris Toon, CF. The other half of the infamous “shovel” duo. The Club Secretary’s height and extraordinary features make him an ideal target man.
Ayyaz Ishaque, GK, RB, CF. The daddy of the side, can ruin teams with his left foot. 3rd Team Captain, Social Secretary, Results Secretary and Kit Monitor. It’s a wonder he has time to do any work!
Bruce Oldridge, CF, RM. A legend at the Club, played at all levels and former Club Skipper. “Woof” is still a quality finisher with a tremendous eye for goal, despite his mature years.
Richard Taylor, CB, RM. Our “Web Master” has made a big impression with his technical abilities. He plays football too, usually as Sweeper but also in midfield where he has many tricks up his sleeve.
John Kendall, CF. Auditor extrordinaire, this Banker is nearly too old for the Vets. After a fair time “off-sick”, has been turning out up front for the 3’s of late. Looking forward to the cricket season.
Roger Dickson, RM, CF. 3rd Team regular, this likeable Scotsman can often be seen at the bar buying drinks for everyone. “Dicko” was recently married and has become the referees best friend.

Dave Hollingdale, Coach. Dave’s last game in charge for the Club following a successful second 4 year spell. A mean Vets player himself, may make a late substitution for Richard Taylor.
Mike Brown, Physio. Plasters, tape, bandages, ultra-sound, oils, vaseline, massage, whatever you want you can be sure Mike has it. Loves getting his hands dirty wearing rubber gloves.
